Workout Blog Carnival - December 8, 2008

Welcome to the December 8, 2008 edition of workout blog carnival. We have several good topics covered in this week’s edition. Weight Loss and preparing for the inevitable holiday feast’s affect on your waistline as well as some simple tips for getting and staying healthy are just a few on the carnival today. Enjoy!

Andy presents How to Stop Overeating posted at test, saying, “Sick of being overweight? Maybe you’ve been fat all your life, I have and I hated it. Until recently I was a slave to junk food.” Workoutebooks’ 2 cents: are you struggling with overeating? Some of these tips may seem a little obvious, but try to focus on these things if you are battling obesity.

Jeff Carlson presents Weekly Tip: Exhale on your left foot posted at Gobs Channel, saying, “A small running tip you might not have known.” Workoutebooks’ 2 cents: I’ve taken several yoga classes where they emphasize coordinating your breathing with body movements. This article takes that philosophy and applies it to running. I wouldn’t have thought of this, but it does make sense.

Erin Pavlina presents Going Raw for 30 Days posted at Erin Pavlina’s Blog, saying, “I’ve decided to do a 30-day trial on a raw diet. I’m really excited by this challenge. Three or four years ago I tried going raw for 30 days but stopped after a couple of weeks.” Workoutebooks’ 2 cents: Erin is documenting her experience with this diet for a month. This article is a pretty detailed beginning, I hope she sees it through and keeps the updates as thorough as this one. Erin’s website seems to be about the holistic approach to health and life in general. Kudos on the article, Erin. And Namaste :)
